4th Beijing International Energy Storage Conference to be Held Next May

In recent years, it is urgent to figure out issues pop up in renewable energy storage technology, as the speed-up of energized projects in areas in shortage of electricity across China and further expanding of large-scale wind power, distributed PV installed capacity, home energy storage system and the upgrade of communication base station.

Such Chinese authorities as National Development and Reform Commission, National Energy Administration, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology have deliberated on energy storage policies, and put more efforts in feasibility and scientific planning on peak-valley price, seasonal price difference, energy storage technology (EST) standards, normative management, etc. Moreover, research institutes and enterprises also participate in the research and standard construction of EST in a proactive manner.

China Energy Storage Network has held the Beijing International Energy Storage Conference (the “Conference”) successfully for 3 (three) consecutive years since 2011, themed as “value & commission of energy storage”, “application &outlook of energy storage”, “opportunity &challenge of energy storage” Respectively, attracting over 1200 representatives all over the world. Thus,  the Conference is one of the most authoritative and influential international events in terms of energy storage sector.

China Energy Storage Network and the Center for Strategic Studies of ESCN will co-host the 4th Beijing International Energy Storage Conference at China Hall of Science & Technology on May 23-24, 2014. At the conference, experts and representatives will focus on the integrated solutions for ES technologies that urgent needed in electricity systems (including new energy vehicles), reinforce the awareness of ES technology’s importance and necessity in electricity system, boosting the large-scale development of ES technology in renewable energy sector.

The 4th Conference will further boost the exchange between policy makers, technical experts and top management of enterprises, will be of great significance in investment, preferential policy, subsidy mechanism, mid and long-term industry planning and so on of ES sector at national level.
